Hey, I'm Jannik, the owner of Crocus Cards!
Even as a child, I was fascinated by trading cards, especially Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! At the age of 22, I rekindled my passion for Pokémon cards in 2016.
I still remember the first 1st Edition Charizard, which I bought on eBay for €36.50 out of nostalgia - back then, no one could understand why I would pay so much money for an "old cardboard card."
My binders quickly filled up and I held a graded card in my hand for the first time...
The community in Germany was very small at the time, and I was able to make many valuable contacts. These initial connections not only shaped my passion for collecting but also laid the foundation for the founding of Crocus Cards.
My collection focuses primarily on German vintage maps, but modern maps are also included. I collect everything I like.
From Pokémon to Fortnite to Yu-Gi-Oh! to sports cards. For me, it's not about the money, but the joy of collecting.
A big highlight for me personally are always conventions, which I enjoy attending both in Germany and internationally. In recent years, I've attended National and GenCon in the USA several times to make international contacts.
My favorite Pokémon? Magikarp. It may be inconspicuous, but to me it symbolizes that even small things have great potential.
